At Little Angels Nursery & Pre School, we undesrtand that you know your child best and we work closely with parents and carers to ensure we always meet your child’s needs as we fully appreciate that each child is unique.
Before your child begins his/her journey with us,
it may be useful to arrange for a visit or two to help become familiar with the surroundings and the nursery staff. Please speak to us to arrange your visit. |

• We provide all children with a healthy mid-morning snack & mid-afternoon snack.
• Children have access to water throughout the day. During snack time a selection
of juices, water and milk is also available to all children.
• Lunch should be provided by parents/carers.
• For babies, please supply nappies, baby wipes and any creams required.
• If your baby is having formula milk, please supply it together with bottles (following the lastest advice, bottles will be made up fresh as required).
• At least one spare change of clothes (named and supplied in a small rucksack or drawstring bag).
• As we go outside regularly, a named coat is required to suit appropriate weather conditions.
• In Summer, a named sun hat is required. Sun cream (named to ensure it suits your child) is also needed in Summer. |

At Little Angels Nursery & Pre School, we work with children, parents, external agencies and the community
to ensure the welfare and safety of children
and to give them the very best start in life.
Children have the right to be treated with respect
and to be kept safe from abuse in whatever form. Our safeguarding policy will be verbally explained to parents/carers and a copy supplied on request.
All our staff have relevant safeguarding training. This is updated regularly and includes the prevent training. |

Policie and Proceduress will be briefly explained when parents meet with the manager to register their child.

| Early Years Foundation Stage |

At Little Angels Nursery & Pre School, your child will be following
development matters in the Early Years Foundation Stage.
We reflect on four themes and their principles:
A Unique child:
Every child is a unique child who is constantly learning
and can be resilient, capable, confident and self-assured.

Children learn to be strong and independent through positive relationships.

Enabling Environments:
Children learn and develop in enabling environments, in which their experiences respond to their individual needs and there is a strong partnership between practitioners, parents and carers.

Learning & Development:
Children learn and develop in different ways. The framework covers
the education and care of all children in Early Years provision,
including children with special educational needs and disabilities.

The Early Years Foundation Stage Framework
follows children from birth to the end of their Reception
Yearat school and is split into 7 areas of learning.
There are 3 Prime Areas:
• PSED: Personal, Social and Emotional Development
• PD: Physical Development
• CL: Communication and Language
Prime Areas form the basis for success in the following 4 Specific Areas:
• L: Literacy
• M: Mathematics
• UW: Understanding the World
• EAD: Expressive Arts and Design

| Monitor your child's development |

You can access YOUR child’s development at a time that suits you via a secure website called Tapestry.
You will be provided with a secure login that only relates
to YOUR child's development. This will show each area
of learning and the stage your child is at, along with
a variety of your child's photos.
Tapestry will highlight your child’s next steps and how
the nursery/keyworker are supporting your child
Parents can comment and add to this site. Rest assured that this is an area that only your child’s keyworker and
the nursery's management have access to. |
